Biography

Dr. Ana Villalobos Acosta is a triple board-certified psychiatrist specializing in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She currently practices at our Plano, Texas location, providing comprehensive psychiatric care with a focus on the holistic treatment of children and their families. Dr. Villalobos Acosta is passionate about addressing health disparities and advocating for underserved communities, ensuring that all patients receive the care they deserve.

She completed her B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Medical Humanities at Baylor University, followed by her M.D. at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine. She then pursued a triple board residency in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year and received multiple honors, including the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award and the H. Otto Kaak Outstanding Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow Award.

Dr. Villalobos Acosta has extensive clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including psychiatric residential treatment and school health services. Her clinical interests lie in child and adolescent psychiatry, and she is dedicated to enhancing mental health care in a variety of patient settings. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
