Intensive Outpatient Program for Mood and Anxiety Disorders
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center empowers patients to take ownership of their recovery and become active participants in their lives. Our Intensive Outpatient program is a flexible treatment program that allows patients to work, go to school, or care for children during the day and sleep at home at night.
Intensive Outpatient Programming
In IOP, patients are in treatment up to four days per week for up to 10 hours per week. Programming includes individual therapy, family therapy, group sessions and more.
Experienced professionals employ a number of therapeutic interventions in IOP, including:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Family-Centered Treatment
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment (CBT)
This program incorporates core recovery principles such as values, pattern smashing, psychological flexibility, rigidity, flexibility, willingness, and expansion. Mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness are all emphasized throughout curriculum.
The IOP can serve as a step-down level of care, helping to foster a positive transition into activities of daily living for children, adolescents, and adults upon discharging from our Residential or Partial Hospitalization programs. IOP can also be leveraged as a direct admit level of care for patients requiring a higher level of care from an outpatient setting — allowing them to remain engaged with their lives.
