Carol Engel, MD

Carol Brown Engel, M.D., is a Triple Board-trained psychiatrist working at our Denver location. With expertise in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Engel has an extensive background in treating children, adolescents, and families, particularly those affected by complex mental health conditions. She is passionate about providing comprehensive psychiatric care that addresses the unique needs of young individuals, and her broad training allows her to offer integrated care that draws on her diverse medical and psychiatric expertise.

Dr. Engel completed her Triple Board Residency Training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati, where she trained in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Engel has served in various leadership roles, including as the Triple Board Residency Training Director at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati, where she shaped the next generation of psychiatrists. Her contributions to education and mental health care have made her a respected figure in the field.

Dr. Engel’s career includes significant academic achievements, including presenting at both national and local conferences and publishing articles on topics such as mood disorders and disordered eating. She has also contributed to important community efforts, including leadership roles in the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Association and involvement with organizations supporting youth.
