Biography

Cristina Borraccini, M.D. serves as a Primary Care Physician at our Downtown Chicago, IL, location. With a comprehensive background in family medicine and a commitment to holistic patient care, Dr. Borraccini brings a wealth of experience in both clinical practice and academia. She earned her MB, BCh, and BAO from the University College Dublin School of Medicine in Ireland before returning to Chicago to complete her Family Practice Residency at Resurrection Medical Center. Her focus on preventive care and patient education is central to her approach, helping patients achieve lasting health improvements.

In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Borraccini has served as an Adjunct Professor at Adler School of Professional Psychology, teaching exercise physiology to master’s students. Her research endeavors include investigating the impact of parental education on childhood obesity and nutrition, which she presented at the Resurrection Family Practice Center. She has also contributed to projects on corticomotor excitability in motor pathways, collaborating with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. 

Dr. Borraccini’s dedication to her field extends to volunteer service at numerous events, including the Ironman Triathlon World Championships and the Chicago Marathon, where she has supported athletes as a physician volunteer.
