Biography
Dr. Emily Warnock is a child and adolescent psychiatrist based in our Denver, CO location. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, she pursued her education in psychology at Kalamazoo College, where she graduated cum laude. After relocating to Colorado, she completed her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Warnock’s journey in psychiatry began with her residency at the University of Nevada, Reno, followed by her current fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which is expected to conclude in June 2024.
With a strong foundation in both inpatient and residential settings, Dr. Warnock utilizes Psychodynamic and Dialectical Behavioral therapies to facilitate healing. She believes in a collaborative approach to care, integrating medication with therapeutic techniques to empower her patients. Her commitment to shared decision-making ensures that treatment plans are tailored to the unique needs of each individual, fostering both psychological insight and personal growth.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Warnock is actively involved in academic contributions and professional organizations. She has presented educational modules on critical topics such as gender dysphoria and authored a chapter on “Play Therapy” for the SAGE Encyclopedia of Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Warnock enjoys playing Magic: The Gathering, treasure hunting for vintage items, and cooking and baking in her free time.
