Biography
Dr. Kristine Walsh serves as the Medical Director in Denver, Colorado, and is a Primary Care Physician. With a focus on primary care and eating disorders, she plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive treatment across various care levels, including inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization programs.
Born and raised in Arcadia, California, Dr. Walsh earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Riverside. She then obtained her Medical Degree and a Master’s in Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from Tulane University, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Walsh completed her family medicine residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, establishing a strong foundation in family medicine that she has built upon throughout her career.
As a board-certified family physician and fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Walsh is also a certified eating disorder specialist through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. She joined the Eating Recovery Center in 2009 after several years in outpatient family medicine. In her current role, she treats children, adolescents, and adults, and is licensed to practice in all states where ERC operates. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Walsh enjoys spending quality time with her husband, three daughters, and their rescue dog, Harvey. An avid reader, she loves to travel, ski, cook, garden, and take long walks. Dr. Walsh has co-authored several articles and book chapters on the medical complications of eating disorders, highlighting her dedication to education and advocacy in this vital area of healthcare. She is passionate about empowering her patients and educating others about the complexities of eating disorders.
