Biography
Leah Kartun is a seasoned professional in nonprofit partnerships and corporate fundraising, bringing nearly a decade of experience to her role. She joined GLSEN in April 2023, continuing her dedicated career in fostering connection and building community to create positive change.
With a background that spans national and global organizations such as The Trevor Project, The Nature Conservancy, and the USO, Leah has honed her expertise in cultivating impactful partnerships and securing vital resources to support mission-driven initiatives.
Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Leah now calls Austin, TX home, where you'll usually find her out in nature, golfing, or spending time with her fiancée, Alyson, and her family. Leah earned her B.A. in Gender & Sexuality Studies from New York University and went on to complete her Master's degree at George Mason University.
