Biography
Megan Ladowski is based at our Chicago, IL location and is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong commitment to helping individuals struggling with eating disorders and related mental health conditions. Originally from near Green Bay, Wisconsin, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Viterbo University and began her career in healthcare working as a registered nurse on an adult inpatient psychiatric unit at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Megan then transitioned to a school nurse role, supporting early childhood through middle school students. Inspired by her experiences, she returned to school to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Megan joined the Eating Recovery Center in 2016 as part of the team that helped open the Eating Disorder Residential unit. Her professional journey has been deeply shaped by her passion for supporting patients with eating disorders, and she has dedicated much of her career to this area of care. In 2019, she completed her MSN-FNP and began providing care for both adult and adolescent patients at ERC Pathlight. Her expertise includes treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring mental health conditions, using a compassionate and holistic approach to recovery.
Outside of her professional life, Megan enjoys spending her free time gardening, working with ceramics, reading, biking, and experimenting in the kitchen with new cooking and baking recipes. She finds that these hobbies offer a sense of relaxation and creativity, helping her maintain a balanced and fulfilling life. Megan is dedicated to fostering recovery and wellness in her patients, and she believes that providing comprehensive care is essential to helping individuals thrive both physically and emotionally.
