Biography

Dr. Steven Crawford is the Regional Medical Director overseeing our Illinois, Maryland, and Ohio regions. He is also the Medical Director at Eating Recovery Center and the Assistant Chief of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland-St. Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Crawford earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry training in the University of Maryland Department of Psychiatry. He received fellowship training in eating disorders at the Center for Eating Disorders and has dedicated over twenty-five years to this field, including serving as Co-Director of the Center for Eating Disorders.

Dr. Crawford is a Past-President of the Maryland Psychiatric Society and currently chairs the Scientific Council of Med-Chi, the Maryland State Medical Society. He actively participates in the Multi-disciplinary Peer Review Committee at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center and leads Schwartz Center Rounds, fostering discussions among doctors, nurses, and caregivers about the human aspects of healthcare. His expertise and contributions have earned him recognition as a Top Doctor in both local and national professional surveys.
