Taylor Baskin, MD

Dr. Taylor Baskin is a dedicated psychiatrist practicing in Austin, Texas, where she provides compassionate care to patients in various treatment settings. Originally from Birmingham, AL, Dr. Baskin’s interest in mental health began early in her academic career. She attended Duke University, where she majored in psychology and minored in chemistry while also being an active cheerleader. This background in both the sciences and human behavior laid the foundation for her future in psychiatry, where she could combine her desire to help others with her deep interest in mental health.

Dr. Baskin earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine before completing her residency and fellowship at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. During her fellowship, she gained experience across inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings, allowing her to develop a well-rounded approach to patient care. Dr. Baskin believes that mental health is integral to overall well-being and that psychiatry offers one of the most unique and meaningful doctor-patient relationships.
