Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center -- located in Hunt Valley, Maryland just north of Baltimore -- specializes in treatment for mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders for medically stable adults, with additional services for children and adolescents.

Our mood and anxiety treatment program in Maryland now offers:

  • Five-day-per-week partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults, children and adolescents
  • Three-day-per-week intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults, children and adolescents

PHP

For patients in need of structure and intensive skills practice, and who can maintain medication compliance, our five-day-a-week PHP includes 6-7 hours of programming each day. Patients spend nights at home or at nearby housing for a comfortable, supported environment during evening hours. This supports individuals in developing sustainable skills and strategies for managing symptoms.

IOP

Our three-day-per-week IOP provides up to 9 hours of clinical programming each week for patients with mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder and seasonal affective disorder as well as anxiety disorders including general anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder and obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD).

Life at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center Baltimore

Accredited by the Joint Commission and led by a nationally recognized team of experts across multiple behavioral healthcare disciplines, Pathlight offers comprehensive, mindfulness-based treatment approaches to support adults and families struggling with serious behavioral health concerns. Our location provides enhanced patient care through recently upgraded facilities, specialized program spaces, free parking, easy access to public transportation and close proximity to a variety of local attractions, hotels and restaurants.

As a member of the Eating Recovery Center family of programs, Pathlight’s treatment philosophy acknowledges the importance of assessment, intervention and discharge planning in successfully addressing behavioral health concerns. A fully comprehensive assessment is crucial in identifying co-occurring conditions and developing an individualized treatment plan that best meets patient needs.

Evidence-based interventions, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and DBT-centered trauma education and protocol, help patients and families alike interrupt maladaptive thoughts and behaviors and live a values-rich life.

Our newly enhanced Transdiagnostic Care Approach uses a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies – coupled with specialized trauma and OCD tracks – to provide individualized treatment for the whole person and ensure the optimal environment for engagement, learning and recovery. We additionally offer state-of-the-science neuropsychiatric interventions including nasal ketamine for patients with hard-to-treat depressive symptoms.

Eating disorder treatment for binge eating disorder, anorexia, bulimia and others is also available through our Eating Recovery Center programming in a facility on the same campus. In February 2022, we will open our Residential Program for eating disorders across campus at 55 Schilling Road.

Pathlight Maryland is a welcoming, affirming facility and we serve patients of all gender identities.
