Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center Announcement

We are excited to announce new program enhancements to our Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center programming. These developments support the delivery of truly specialized patient care for children and teens, and adults with mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders.
Dear Colleagues,
As we continue our work to create a comprehensive treatment approach to support long-lasting mental wellness, I’m pleased to share the ways in which our program continues to become more specialized and healing.
As many of you know, there has been a recent push to focus on individuals’ traits and symptoms: rather than using the historic diagnostic labels. The federal National Institute of Mental Health acknowledges that many traits span a range of conditions and diagnoses: many of our patients not only have characteristics of several diagnoses, but may also receive multiple diagnoses throughout their recovery journeys.
In our collective commitment to effectively treat each patient as a whole and unique person – no matter how complex the diagnosis – Pathlight uses a Transdiagnostic Model of Care: integrating evidence-based modalities to address the commonalities between diagnoses, rather than one specific modality for each specific disease. All of our work is grounded in a foundation of safety, mindfulness, awareness, connection and action to facilitate the optimal environment for engagement, learning and recovery.
We do this because of our commitment to our patients, their families and providers. Treating mental health conditions is complex, but our comprehensive treatment approach is specifically designed to break the cycle of illness. We don’t merely treat patients; we ensure they address underlying issues and are given new tools and skills as they move to different levels of care.
Additionally, our multidisciplinary approach offers specialty trauma and OCD tracks, coupled with neuropsychiatric treatments like ketamine, ECT and TMS for patients who require more focused and intensive treatment. These tracks and treatments are specifically tailored to patients who undergo a comprehensive assessment, and could benefit from more support in these areas. Our use of standardized assessments impacts how we personalize treatment plans, and deliver patient-and family-centered care to ensure optimal outcomes.
This is the same Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center programming you’ve come to know, trust and learn from, just enhanced to ensure patients, families and providers get what they need.
Our program continues to be rooted in family-centered approaches to treating mental health conditions in teens and children by offering additional support to caregivers, specifically with Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Part of our critical framework includes a strong focus on the involvement, empowerment and support for families, friends and support systems. We know that they are vital players in a patient’s recovery, and deserve our support and compassion.
Our individual therapy approaches focus on skills for emotion regulation and returning to a values-driven life, specifically:
- Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
Our schedules and curriculum have been refreshed and updated, and our commitment to providing ‘center of excellence’ quality of care has never been stronger. As pioneers in behavioral health, we continue to bring unparalleled expertise in assessing and treating medically and psychiatrically complex patients with co-occurring conditions.
We appreciate your support during this exciting time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your treatment team members and our leadership team with any questions.
