This presentation will highlight the vital role of families as part of the treatment team for children and adolescents with eating disorders and other mental health concerns. The presenters will review the details of how to work with families and children and adolescents in virtual treatment at higher levels of care (HLOC), the intensive outpatient level of care (VIOP). Discussion will include an overview of rules and regulations for working with children and adolescents in the virtual space, (how to bring families into the treatment process), how to help families implement meal plans and behavioral plans at home, and the collaboration among families, VIOP providers, and outpatient teams.
